Lessons

I pride myself in tailoring all my teaching to the needs of my students. I always focus on their individual interests and strengths.

Woodwind

I have experience working with musicians on a one-to-one basis on Clarinet and Alto Saxophone and have prepared them for music exams and more informal performances. I have recently worked with some of my pupils remotely and so have skills in planning and delivering virtual lessons when needed.  I can also offer First Access teaching in Recorder and Clarinet, planning and delivering fun and inclusive sessions to class groups.

Singing

I teach one-to-one and small group singing lessons, focusing on breathing, supporting the voice and vocal technique as well as learning an eclectic repertoire of songs.

I have recently been involved with Singing Leader Sessions across North Wiltshire. During these sessions I planned and then delivered whole class singing sessions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The purpose of these sessions was to inspire the pupils to sing with confidence and enjoyment and to model good practice to teachers, as well as sharing high quality teaching resources.

Schools

I am an experienced Primary music specialist with 10 years class teaching experience across KS1 and 2. I have been the Music Lead teacher in a large primary school; a role which saw me not only teach classroom music across a range of different ages and abilities, but also plan and write schemes of work and music policies and to deliver CPD in music across the school.

During my time as a teacher I gained experience working with young choirs, orchestras and instrumental groups.
