Music fosters creativity and confidence
It’s a multi-disciplinary skill that encourages children and adults to explore ideas and sounds, while engaging socially in making music in a community.
I think that engaging with music from a young age alongside more academic areas helps to create a well rounded individual with the confidence to express themselves.
Hi, I’m Sam. I have been playing music since I was 9 years old and teaching for over 10 years. I am an experienced classroom music teacher specialising in primary as well as teaching individual and group woodwind lessons.
During my years in the classroom I have taught ages 4-11, conducted and lead children’s choirs and orchestras, and done the odd school production!
In my spare time as well as playing music I love to potter around the garden and I volunteer with my local childrens centre.
